One of the most important aspects of the treatment of OSA is the actual use of the CPAP device. It is important to realize that it often takes time, education, support, and counseling before a patient actually uses the device nightly. At the Sleep Disorders Center of CDS, we have developed a longitudinal CPAP compliance program, designed specifically to optimize the interface between the patient and the device and track usage. If usage is down, then we will take the necessary steps to troubleshoot the problems and optimize the interface. We at the Sleep Disorders Center at the CDS recognize that OSA is a life changing diagnosis and significant lifestyle modification is necessary before individuals will stick with therapy. We have an extensive program designed to help address these issues.
